Sortation Equipment

Ermanco NBS conveyors are specifically designed for quiet operation. Features such as several narrow belts instead of one wide belt; belts sliding in UHMW track, not on a metal pan; elimination of drive mechanisms at divert points; minimal belt snubbing at divert points; optimum belt tension on each narrow belt with patented belt take-up; and no product-to-roller noise at any divert point contribute to a sorter so quiet that actual sound pressure measurements are 75% less than those for conventional sorters. Minimizing energy consumption is good business practice. The NBS design features described above not only reduce noise, but also contribute toward lowering horsepower requirements. In addition, NBS pneumatics consume a very small quantity of air. These are all factors in the positive results of comparisons with conventional sorters, proving NBS energy consumption is at least 70% less. Shorter installation time always improves schedule and reduces cost. Advantages such as the large number of pre-assembled components, no requirement for belt tracking, transfers easily repositioned, and simple modular construction have enabled NBS installations to be repeatedly completed, including commissioning in 60% of the time required to install conventional sorters. NBS is superior sortation conveyor technology. These proven advantages can be yours by contacting AUTOMATION INTEGRATORS, INC. |
Intelliroll Conveyor
Easily the most revolutionary advance in conveyor technology in recent years, the motorized-roller conveyor sets a new standard in material handling flexibility. Its key is the use of a motorized roller, which powers each zone or segment of the conveyor. TGW-ERMANCO’S IntelliROL is the best available. It’s a truly modular system that can be completely customized to meet your current requirements, and it’s so easily reconfigured that it will be ready for the future when it gets here. The unique frame design, with rollers mounted low, provides total protection for the electronic components that are pre-mounted and pre-wired at the factory. An optional conveyor shroud encloses and provides additional protection for the electrical components. Plug-in installation with pre-tested controls minimizes system start-up time. Run-On-Demand, the inherent ability to turn on an IntelliROL motorized zone only when needed, conserves energy, reduces noise levels and greatly increases component life. Because each IntelliROL module has its own drive and control, any level of functional sophistication is possible, including product-tracking, diagnostics, and data collection. Smart driver cards and photo-electric sensors can be configured for transportation, accumulation and work-in-process operations without the need to add additional controls processors. For applications with complex controls requirements, driver cards and photo-electric sensors come pre-wired with connections to a choice of various bus network systems, suitable for PC or PLC control. |
Pick Zone Module
The Pick Zone Module is a cost-effective pick or pass, zone picking solution for split-case order fulfi llment. It consists of a unique arrangement of proven TGW-ERMANCO standard products that transfer totes or cartons from a main-line conveyor into predetermined picking zones adjacent and parallel to the main line. This transfer can be accomplished using either a Right Angle Sorter (ERS®) or Urethane Belt Transfer (UBT). The Pick Zone Module consists of a line-shaft-driven induction conveyor which accomplishes container separation and metering for scanning, the transfer, adjacent receiving conveyor, and powered take-away conveyor parallel to the induction conveyor. Throughput rates up to 25 cartons per minute can be obtained with the bi-directional UBT, and 40 cartons per minute with the reversing ERS. These high rates are achieved by transferring “on-the-fly” and using a “velocity transfer”. When utilizing line-shaft-driven induction conveyors with the bi-directional UBT or the single-direction ERS, the entire Pick Zone Module is driven by one motor. The reversing ERS is driven by its own high-speed drive. The choice and arrangement of all supporting conveyors and devices can be tailored to meet your specific application. Technical Specifications
